Our Story & Purpose

About

Cindy Hernandez

Hi, I’m Cindy Hernandez, the creator behind Crafting with Cindy, Petals of Purpose, and Pages in Bloom. I’m an author, artist, plant lover, storyteller, dog mom, and community-builder dedicated to helping people heal through creativity.

My work lives at the intersection of art, mental health, family connection, and cultural storytelling. Whether it’s a paint and sip, a dog-friendly craft corner, a kids club activity, a plant workshop, or a journaling prompt that opens the heart, my goal is always the same: to help people feel grounded, supported, and inspired.

Over the past seven years, I’ve built a creative ecosystem that now includes family-friendly events, youth programs, and a whole community of dog lovers who show up with their pups to paint, craft, and celebrate moments that matter. Kids grow their confidence at my workshops, parents find a breath of peace, and pets bring the joy that only they can bring.

As a mom of 2 children (one Autism strong) a survivor, and a woman rebuilding her life through art, I understand how important safe, joyful spaces can be. Creativity carried me through grief, trauma, and reinvention, and it continues to guide my path forward. Now I share these tools with others so they can find their own healing, expression, and confidence too.

My long-term dream is something I call The Third Place — a physical hub for creativity, healing, and community. A home for kids clubs, plant therapy, book clubs, dog-friendly gatherings, senior events, youth programs, paint nights, author workshops, and all the magical ideas we’re building together.
Thank you for being part of this growing, blooming community. Whether you attend an event, adopt a plant, paint with your pet, shop a bundle, read a book, or follow along online, you’re helping bring this vision to life.
